Expand your class skills with some options with upcoming Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen techniques

Pantheon: Rise of the FallenApril’s Producer’s Letter is now out and there are new roadmap updates, including expected progress on network upgrades, an introduction to combat techniques and growth.
With the work on the game’s network key to introduce multiple features, the updates in the roadmap have been added significant advancements in the backend. One of the things they plan to do soon is the frontend crafting interface. These systems aren’t ready yet, but the backend improvements have set the stage for crafting to be available for playtesting soon.
Also updated this round are work on zones, concept work on wild animals and enemy mobs in Wild’s End, and advances in audio, including audio hooks for day and night systems and some combat music transitions.
The design team is also working on leveraging combat feedback from QA and has added an overview of techniques. Techniques are something new to the skill tree, reflecting the decision to split core class abilities and weapon-based attacks. This means that each class will have core abilities, they will also have an additional variety of abilities based on the weapon they wield. Techniques are enhanced by using the associated weapon.
Techniques use a resource for all classes, which the team now calls Readiness. Readiness will increase over time and as you use your weapons to deal damage. You can save it to have the opportunity to use more powerful techniques or use cheaper ones in combos.
That Pantheon Team wants to make it clear that using techniques doesn’t dilute class identity. The idea is to allow players of the same class to differentiate themselves and their playstyle. An example of this is a rogue might consider using a hammer that can stun a target if they want to exert a lot of control.
