Troubled actor Ezra Miller has reportedly been fired from his role as The Flash in Warner Bros and DC’s superhero series after a series of legal controversies.

The 29-year-old actor – who has been identified as non-binary – has been playing Barry Allen aka The Flash since 2016 when they made their debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as the super speed hero.

The character is set to appear in a spin-off The Flash that will see the character take center stage – but the release has been hampered by Ezra’s recent legal troubles.

Now reports have suggested that Ezra will be fired from the DC cinematic universe after The Flash launches next year.

A source told Limit line: “There is no win in this for Warner Bros.

“This is a genetic problem for [CEO David] Zaslav. Hopefully the scandal will be saved before the movie comes out, and hopefully the best movies will be filmed again.”

Mirror has reached out to publishers of Ezra and DC/Warner Bros for comment.

The movie The Flash is expected to have had a long and troubled production schedule with his film originally scheduled for a March 2018 release.

However, filming was delayed to 2019 after bosses waited to hire Andy Muschietti as director.

Filming continued to be delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic with the release date first moving to June 2022, then November 2022, before finally being moved to June 2023.

Michael, who played Batman in Tim Burton’s films in 1989 and 1992, will also reprise his role in the upcoming film Batgirl to be released via HBO at some point before the end of the year. .
