The midfielder is highly on the wish list at Emirates where Mikel Arteta is dedicated to strengthening his squad.

Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are undoubtedly the number one picks while Martin Odegaard is seen as the more classy player in the No 10 role.
It leaves Arsenal Back-up options are Albert Sambi Lokonga, who is largely inexperienced, and Mohamed Elneny, who may not have the qualifications needed to take the club to the next level.

Napoli still have hopes of extending the 25-year-old’s contract before the summer transfer window begins.
But if that doesn’t work, the Serie A board will have to decide whether to sell it or risk losing the midfielder for nothing at the end of the season.
That would be a blow to Napoli, who rely heavily on player sales to balance their books while Ruiz is one of the most highly-rated stars.
Corriere dello Sport went on to say that Arsenal had offered the Neapolitans £42m for the Spaniard but it was turned down.
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will make another bid for this sum, as Napoli could be in a more desperate position.
Arsenal face Leicester today in the Premier League, where they are 5th in the standings.
However, there is real hope that they can finish in the top four this season – a position they have not claimed since 2016 – when they are two points behind. Manchester United and have four games against their former rivals.
