FACEBOOK adds more than a hundred new emoji to the social network as it catches up with WhatsApp.
Including the pregnant man, a cheeky biting lip and different skin-colored handshakes.
The company is also late to the party with various people holding hands, which was first recommended in late 2019.
Now there are 30 different couples of different skin tones and genders – 10 of which have no apparent gender at all.
A gender-neutral person with a crown is also included.
And seven new smiley faces have also been thrown into the mix, including the melting face and the face hiding behind hands.
Meanwhile, the designs for three – face with hand over mouth, the syringe, and the neutral face – have been updated.
There are 137 additions in total, all of which will appear on the main page of Facebook and the Messenger app.
The move finally brings it in line with others, like WhatsApp – which owns Facebook – Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android.
They already added most of these emojis ages ago.
Corresponding Emojipediathe latest designs will be “made available to a growing number of users worldwide over the next few weeks and months”.
So keep an eye out for them.
It comes as emoji bosses recently revealed they wouldn’t allow it anymore new submissions for flags.
