Facebook has a HIDDEN “Quiet Mode” that will completely change the way you use it

FACEBOOK has a special feature called Quiet Mode that can help you use the app less.

Quiet Mode was actually introduced two years ago – but it’s still relatively unknown.

It was designed to detach from social media.

Facebook probably figured it was better to give users the ability to take breaks than risk them quitting the app altogether.

Silent mode does a number of things, including silencing most notifications and limiting your time in the app.

“We have tools that can help you find the right balance for how you use Facebook,” the parent company said Meta called.

“Whether it helps you focus on your family and friends while sleeping or managing without distractions how you spend your time At home.”

If you enable silent mode, most push notifications will be muted.

If you open Facebook while silent mode is on, you will be reminded not to use the app.

You can also set yourself time limits with a silent mode schedule.

How to use Facebook’s silent mode

First, make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of the Facebook app.

As long as you’ve updated within the last year or so, you’re probably fine.

Then open the Facebook app and tap on the menu icon (three horizontally stacked lines).

Now scroll down and select Settings & privacy and then go to Settings.

Next, select Your time on Facebook, then Manage your time.

Tap on Tools and then you can enable silent mode.

It is also possible to enable or schedule timers for silent mode to better control your Facebook habit.

When you first access your time on Facebook, you’ll see a different swipe menu – but silent mode is still an option.

You can also use the silent mode interface to track how much Facebook time you use daily.
