Fallout 76’s 2022 content road map makes Fallout 76 past expansions

Bethesda has revealed its 2022 content roadmap for its online action RPG Fallout 76.

The year-long road map introduces new public events from alien invasions, and players can adventure outside of post-apocalyptic West Virginia for the first time.

Divided into four seasons; The spring update will introduce a new seasonal event called Invaders From Beyond, a map-wide event where players are tasked with encountering aliens and UFOs. The event will have players defeat aliens and hinder their research by destroying brainwave siphons. While the summer update will introduce three new public events: Your Metal Test, Eviction Notice, and Moonshine Jamboree.

However, more exciting updates will come in the second half of the year. The fall update introduces Expeditions: The Pitt, which Bethesda notes is “a whole new way to play Fallout 76. “The update will mark the first time players have had the chance to venture outside of Appalachia in the game and new NPCs with quests.

The press release confirms that the player will “riskly cross the boundaries of Appalachian on quests to the only deadly location known as, The Pitt,” implying that the player can return to the bordered city introduced for the first time in Second Fallout 3 DLC. June of last year, Bethesda teases that players will have the ability to not only explore Appalachia but also The Pitt will be the setting where you will have the option to venture out. Not to mention Trogs, an enemy creature introduced in Fallout 3’s The Pitt expansion, has also been confirmed to return in the fall update.

The winter update, titled Nuka-World on Tour, shows a businessman giving Appalachia a traveling show. New public events will be added, including a regional boss public event, and players will have the opportunity to explore Nuka-World on the Tour grounds. Fallout fans may remember that Nuka-World is an actual (and fictional) theme park that serves as the main setting for the series. Fallout 4 DLC of the same name.

When a new Fallout game is not coming soonAs Fallout 76 entered its fourth year of post-launch support, the game received numerous content updates that made it look like a different game than the previous one. when it came out back in 2018.
