or its second year in operation, Art and the Outdoors will take place on Parnell Street North, outside Hugh Lane Gallery, on Saturday and Sunday (July 30 and 31).

This event is inspired by artists leaving their studio to paint the ambience, that is, out the door.

The show is packed with fun and creativity from the Dublin Circus Project; artist-led drawing for all ages; and the chance to make your own paper flowers to grow in the wildflower garden in front of the gallery.

There will also be poetry clusters, incorporating Irish Poetry, with poets Simon Costello, Eva Griffin, Enda Wyley and Peter Sirr.

The live music scene will include performances by harpist Aisling Evan, violinist Ann Cashel and uilleann pianist Éamonn Galldubh, along with Rachel Factor on harpsichord and Lioba Petrie on cello. The Botanical String Quartet and Derek Copley Trilogy are also on the bill.

As part of the event, the Hugh Lane Gallery will present its first ever citywide children’s art exhibition, featuring 52 works based on the theme ‘What I love about the outdoors. great’.

The collection will remain on display at the gallery until October 2. Family-friendly art, poetry and music event to be held in Dublin city center
