A FAMILY is heartbroken after their “perfect” daughter died after a Mercedes crashed into a bridge, seriously injuring a passenger and driver.
Nadia Yusuf, 17, tragically died in the crash in Manchester city center just before midnight on Monday.
The 17-year-old was the front passenger in the car that crashed into a railway bridge on Mancunian Road.
An 18-year-old man, sitting in the back of the vehicle, suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition, police said.
The driver, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Nadia’s mother has now paid tribute to her “beautiful and happy” daughter, who is looking forward to a “bright future”.
She said: “Nadia (may her soul rest in peace in Jannah) tragically died in a road accident and all those who loved her are still in shock and disbelief.
“She was my first and best friend. Nadia is not only physically beautiful but also has a beautiful heart as attested by all the respectable people in the family.

“Nothing is too much for her and taking care of her siblings is just one of the jobs she happily undertakes.
“Nadia is a happy teenager who is loved by everyone who crosses her path and she is enjoying her life and looking towards a bright future.

It is understood that Nadia was a former student at Manchester Academy, on Moss Side, south of Manchester.
Principal James Eldon said the school community has been devastated by her loss.
Mr Eldon said: “Everyone at Manchester Academy is heartbroken to learn that one of our former students has tragically died in a car crash and another former student is critically ill following the incident. collision.
“We all send our families our love and prayers at this terrible time.”
No arrests have been made and investigations are still underway into the cause of the crash. Memorial flowers were left at the scene.
