Horrifying footage has emerged of a student’s horrific bullying at a university fraternity house, leaving him blind and unable to walk or speak.
Danny Santulli, 19, stopped breathing and suffered brain damage after drinking vodka and beer before passing out on the sofa of his fraternity home at the University of Missouri, US.
Danny’s family is now seeking charges against two people involved in the events of that night in October 2021.
Having already sued 23 people, including the fraternity, the family plans to sue Sam Gandhi and Alec Wetzler and file felony charges against the two students.
As a result of Pledge Dad Reveal Night at Phi Gamma Delta, Danny is in a wheelchair and requires 24-hour care.
He was forced to drink a 1.75 liter bottle of Tito’s vodka while being force-fed beer through a tube.
surveillance videos that Good morning America obtained shows Danny being led shirtless down a flight of stairs at the fraternity house, along with other commitments.
He is later fed beer through a hose and is shown passed out after falling backwards onto a table and half-slumped on a couch.
Video footage also shows his fellow liaisons carrying him out and taking him to the hospital after realizing how serious his condition was.
By the time they rushed him to the hospital, he had stopped breathing long enough to cause severe brain damage.
Danny spent months in a rehabilitation center after that night, but is now at home with his family in Missouri, where his mother is taking care of him.
Wetzler has now been charged with misdemeanor serving alcohol to a minor and is no longer a student at the university.
However, Gandhi was not charged and is still studying.
The family lawsuit alleges that Gandhi saw the seriousness of Danny’s condition but did nothing about it until it was far too late.
Danny’s mother gave a tearful interview to Good Morning America on Thursday and said neither boy ever called 911.
She said: “Just the fact that nobody … they knew he was in distress. His lips were blue and no one called 911. I mean, six-year-olds call 911.”
Danny will be in need of care for the rest of his life.
His mother continued: “He still doesn’t speak or walk, he’s in a wheelchair. He lost his eyesight. But he hears us and he knows we’re there. We’re just going to keep fighting – we’re not going to give up.” Hope.”
Danny’s sister said she was “sick in the stomach” that the people involved in her brother’s injury are still “walking around campus pretending they didn’t do anything wrong.”
His father added that he would love to see the Crime D couple.
According to the lawsuit, the couple wanted to make it a night the “promises wouldn’t be forgotten,” so they filled the house with “cocaine, marijuana and alcohol.”
And the Daily Mail verified documents that described how the pledges “sticked Tito’s bottles to their hands.”
The lawsuit also alleges that the university previously warned the boys about another incident of bullying.
