A family has been left too scared to leave their home after two years of being molested by a nightmarish neighbor.

The Coventry Khans have had to put up with taunts, stalking and alleged racial abuse since lockdown began in 2020.

CCTV footage showed a woman in her 50s, who was allegedly the perpetrator, swearing at the family and mimicking Ms Khan’s accent outside their home.

Speak with CoventryLiveThe 44-year-old said: “All of a sudden during lockdown she started parking towards our driveway and she kept staring at us.

“I told my husband something was wrong, why is she acting so strange?

“But my husband said it was probably nothing, maybe a misunderstanding.”







The unnamed ex-neighbor in her 50s is said to have told the Coventry family to “go back to her own country”.

Ms Khan claims she was told to “return to her country” and the glares soon turned to verbal insults.

She added, “She came out and started swearing at me and said, ‘You Indian girl, you have a heavy accent, go back to your country.'”

“From then on I started recording them. She started targeting our kids, we came back from shopping one day and she gave the middle finger and flicked it up and down for 30-40 seconds.”

Ms Khan explained that she then began recording her neighbor’s erratic behavior and reported the incidents to police, who say they are escalating the matter to Force CID.

About a year ago, the nightmare neighbor moved somewhere else coventrybut reportedly still comes back to her former street to torment the family.

Additional footage shows the mysterious woman standing outside the family home, seemingly taking pictures of their home and car.

A vehicle matching the description of the woman’s vehicle was also spotted driving by the property late at night, honking its horn.

Ms Khan said she also received a hateful card with terrible news.

She said she “really doesn’t know why” her family is being targeted by her former neighbor.

But has said the abuse took an emotional toll on both herself and her family.

Ms Khan said: “It affects us mentally. It has started to affect my husband and his health.

“I started taking antidepressants and became addicted to them.

“I’m scared to leave my house because of her screaming and humiliating us in public.

“We’re so sick and tired of this.”

The traumatized mum explained her 14-year-old daughter refused to go to school on Friday May 20 after the ex-neighbor allegedly verbally abused her and called her “f****** b*** *” designated.

“I took a day off that day because my daughter was so mentally disturbed that she didn’t want to go to school,” Ms Khan said.

“I had to call her and explain why she missed her physics exam.”

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We are looking into reports of harassment against a woman in Coventry.

“Officials from the Bell Green Neighborhood team have visited the woman and continue to support her.

“Officials issued a Community Safeguard Notice against the suspect, a woman in her 50s.

“While a number of actions have been implemented at the local level, the matter is being escalated to Force CID who will be in touch with the woman.

“We take all allegations of harassment incredibly seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety of members of our community.

“We always encourage people to report crimes to us and we will follow all reasonable investigative avenues to provide an appropriate response.”
