Fans Invited To Pay Tribute To Tom Parker At Celebration Of Life’s Service

Fans of The Wanted star Tom Parker have been invited to pay their respects outside of a private ceremony next week to celebrate the life of the late singer.

The singer died last month at the age of 33 surrounded by family and bandmates – 17 months after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

Parker’s wife Kelsey shared a statement on Instagram announcing a private church service is to be held on April 20 in Queensway, Petts Wood, south-east London.

She added that it would be “nice” if those wishing to pay their respects could line the way as Parker’s family and friends go to church and that they could watch the service outside on screens broadcasting the ceremony.

The statement read: “There will be a private celebration of life on Wednesday April 20th.

“We know many of you would also like to pay your respects, so we’d love for you to join us in Petts Woods from 10am.

“It would be nice if everyone lined the route when we go to our private service.

“You are then welcome to join outside of the church for the duration that the service is being broadcast on screens.”

Kelsey Parker also created a GoFundMe page after her husband’s death to “keep Tom’s memory alive forever” by donating to charity instead of sending flowers and cards.

The site surpassed its goal of £5,000 in the first 12 hours and has received more than £51,000 in donations to date.

Married since 2018, the couple welcomed son Bodhi in October last year and their daughter Aurelia Rose was born in 2019.

Parker announced in October 2020 that he had been diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma and had started radiation and chemotherapy.

Despite his diagnosis, he had appeared on stage with his bandmates as part of their much-delayed reunion tour in the weeks leading up to his death.

Parker’s bandmates Ed Sheeran, Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp and Take That’s Howard Donald were among the music figures who paid tribute to the singer after news of his death broke. Fans Invited To Pay Tribute To Tom Parker At Celebration Of Life’s Service
