Fans of RTE star Sinead Kennedy go wild as she brings the Today Show back in sparkly outfits from maternity leave

RTE star Sinead Kennedy sent her fans into a frenzy when she made the Today Show return in a sparkly outfit after her birth break.

The presenter will host the show on Mondays and Tuesdays alongside Daithi O Se while Maura Derrane takes over the second half of the week.

Sinead took some time off last year and has since welcomed daughter Indie Kirwan with husband Conor Kirwan.

Sinead was replaced by Emer O’Neill during her maternity leave.

But today, she’s back for the first time since last March in a bright silver sequin blazer teamed with glossy leather leggings and brown heels.

She was smiling as she shared a snap from RTE in Cork.

Sinead writes: “Exquisite. In my opinion sequins are considered acceptable attire for the first gig in January … or for my first gig in October 10 minutes at a time. #Backtowork #today #tvpresenter #sequins.”

Fans and friends have flocked to her comments section loving the charm she brings to the show.

Former Ireland AM star Anna Daly said: “I couldn’t love this outfit more! She’s back. Wow!”

Former Fair City star Aoibhin Garrihy added: “You look amazing today Sinead, it’s lovely when you’re back on our x screens.”

Emer O’Neill commented: “Wowza. You look great Sinead.”

Sandra wrote: “You look gorgeous Sinead, so lovely seeing your smiley face on TV.”

‘DREAM COME TRUE’

And Daithi co-host is also delighted to have Sinead back with him.

“It’s a dream come true when you come back,” he said at the end of today’s show.

The pair then burst into giggles.

This comes after the recent Sinead shared a rare moment with her husband and children as they spent Christmas in Rome as she said “beautiful memories were made.”

The Victory host took to her Instagram to share some of her family’s adorable moments after they spent Christmas in Italy.

CHRISTMAS IN ROME

The first photo shows Sinead holding his daughter and posing in front of the Trevi Fountain.

In this photo, Sinead wears a gorgeous black hat along with a matching black jacket and a brown and black leopard print scarf.

The next photo is a tiramisu cake she had while looking out over the fountain, followed by a photo of herself, her husband and their daughter.

Sinead also shared some pictures of herself and her daughter in front of the Colosseum and walking around the city of Rome.
