Fatal stabbing of girl (9) in Boston, England: Police publish pictures of interested parties

Police are appealing for help in identifying a man following the fatal stabbing of nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte.

Incolnshire Police released four CCTV images of the man and warned anyone who sees him not to approach him but to call 999 immediately.

The force added that two people arrested earlier this week have now been released with no further action.

Chief Superintendent Martyn Parker said: “Our officers have been working around the clock on this investigation and public help could prove crucial.”

Speaking of the CCTV images, he said: “These are very clear images of a man we wish to speak to so I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“If you see him do not approach him, call 999 immediately.

“This is a particularly tragic case and I want to reassure the public that we have a tremendous amount of resources to invest in the investigation.

“We continue to support Lilia’s family as they mourn this unimaginable loss.”

Lilia was found on Fountain Lane in Boston around 6:20 p.m. Thursday.

Anyone with information should call 101 and report incident 419 from July 28.
