DJ Fatboy Slim’s son Woody will perform at Glastonbury this summer, marking 22 years since the musician first attended the festival – in the womb Zoe Ball
Eat, sleep, get drunk… and then your child can repeat.
Fatboy Slim’s son, Woody Cook, is following in his father’s footsteps and performing at Glastonbury.
The event will mark 22 years since the 21-year-old first attended the festival – in the womb of Zoe Ball, before he was born.
“I haven’t been silent about it in three years with all my friends,” laughs art student Woody, who signed up for the now-cancelled 2020 event.
Although his father – whose real name is Norman Cook – still needs to teach him some Glastonbury etiquette…
The Gogglebox and The Circle star said: “Last time in Glastonbury he was really angry because I watched one of his series and not another.
“He said, ‘Woody, if someone gets you tickets to a festival, you have to go to their set. It is a popular dish. ‘
“I think because I see him on Thursday I can go see Tame Impala and Stormzy on Friday. What a clash…”
Woody attended the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Party at Soho House in London ahead of the BAFTA awards this month, where guests included Rising Star award-winning Bukky Bakray and current nominee, A star Quiet Place Millicent Simmonds.
In June, EE will also help Glastonbury-goers power their phones, meaning Woody will be able to tune in to Mom’s Radio 2 broadcast, which he admits can feel.” surreal” at Worthy Farm, where Billie Eilish and Sir Paul McCartney will lead.
Woody recalls: “I remember waking up in the tent, seeing my dad playing the previous night, and turning on the phone to hear my mother say on the radio: ‘Good morning Glastonbury!’ My life is a movie”.
