The feathered serpent god comes to war on the surface world in an explosive new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The action-packed action clip shows the family of King T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman, fighting to protect their nation from interference by world powers following his death.
Viewers are further introduced to the obvious villain of the highly anticipated sequel, Namor, the king of Talokan, played by Tenoch Huerta.
“His people do not call him a general or a king,” warns M’Baku, played by Winston Duke.
“People call him K’uk’ulkan, the Feathered Serpent. Killing him would risk eternal war.”
“He’s coming to the surface world,” said Shuri, T’Challa’s older sister, played by Letitia Wright, before a series of high-octane fight scenes ensued.
Along with Duke and Wright, the film also sees the return of Angela Bassett, who takes on the role of Queen Ramonda, and Martin Freeman as Everett Ross.
In addition to Huerta, the film also stars British star Michaela Coel.
The trailer also shows a glimpse of a suitably new Black Panther, whose identity has not been revealed.
It comes shortly after Boseman was honored after being presented with the Disney Legend Award at the corporation’s D23 conference last month, an award collected by his brother Derrick Boseman.
