“Feedback required” on Instagram – mysterious error message leaves users perplexed

THOUSANDS of Instagram fans were left stunned this morning after being locked out of the app by a bizarre error message.

Users see a pop-up that says “feedback_required” and are blocked from viewing their feeds and messages.

According to online outage tracker DownDetector, it’s not yet clear what’s causing the outage that’s affecting users around the world.

One Twitter user wrote: “Is Instagram down?

Another said: “Hey @instagram can’t log into my account this morning – is there an error? Constantly saying feedback_required.”

According to screenshots shared on social media, Instagram does not provide any additional details in the error message.

It is therefore impossible to know what “feedback_required” means.

Instagram nuts have speculated on forums that the error is related to comments or messages.

Others say the message often pops up when users try to put something in their bio that is blocked, e.g. B. a web link.

Often, when Instagram experiences a mass failure, the error message you see is not related to the failure in any way.

It is therefore unclear whether the “Feedback required” message has anything to do with Wednesday’s downtime.

More than 3,000 people said they couldn’t log into Instagram this morning.

Complaints mounted around 7:30am UK time (2:30am EST), according to website DownDetector, which tracks online outages.

Users in the US and UK are among the hardest hit, while parts of Europe are also seeing some downtime.

Many have flocked to Twitter to find out what’s going on.

“Instagram won’t let people sign in anymore,” said one user.

“Not just me, but hundreds of people facing the same problem.”

Another joked: “Dear @elonmusk, please buy Instagram and make sure it never crashes again.”

It looks like some have started to get service back after hours of waiting.

“After 2 hours it’s completely sorted out,” claimed one user.

This all comes after Instagram secretly changed its logo, as well as a new font.
