Fidelity Investments plans 300 new jobs in Dublin and Galway

Fidelity Investments has announced plans to create 300 new jobs across Ireland as it expands its presence across the country.

Headquartered in Boston, the company is a financial services company.

Fidelity Investments’ Irish division, in operation for over 25 years, provides technology solutions to the broader global business, serving 32 million clients.

The organization now employs 1,500 people in Ireland, an increase from 400 people in 2013.

The company employs more than 60,000 people worldwide.

Recruitment has begun for the new positions, which will primarily focus on the company’s technology team, including software development, cloud, application and data architecture, and cybersecurity.

Fidelity reports that 200 of these positions are to be based in Galway, with the remaining 100 based in Dublin. It is hoped that the positions will be filled within the next two years.

The company reported that the growth follows increased demand in several business areas such as enterprise technology, asset management and workplace investment.

“We have demonstrated tremendous resilience over the past few years and as a company we are fully committed to supporting our customers,” said Lorna Martyn, Regional President of the Ireland Division and Senior Vice President of Technology.

“These new highly skilled positions will enhance our ability to meet the evolving needs of our customers going forward.”
