FIFA 23 Team of the Year is here – this is who we think will win

The FIFA 23 Team of the Year (TOTY) voting is on and many people are hoping their favorites will make it.

Each selected player will receive a special FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) card with a huge increase in their rating.

There are 11 slots available, one for each position on the field.

Here’s who we think will top the list in FIFA 23’s TOTY.

Thibaut Courtois

Courtois has won the goalkeeper position in FIFA 22’s TOTY and we think he’ll take it on again this year.

A former Atletico Madrid and Chelsea player, he helped Real Madrid win both the Champions League and La Liga.

He’s the best goalkeeper in FIFA 23 and we think that will be enough to tip the vote his way.

Achraf Hakimi

Hakimi had a huge impact on PSG’s success and helped guide France’s reigning champions to victory.

His lightning fast speed has made him a popular player in FIFA 23 and we think many players will choose him.

Morocco’s shocking performance in fourth place at the World Cup only serves to confirm that prediction.

Eder Militao

Militão has been at his best since joining Real Madrid, although he’s met with skepticism.

He’s a little clumsy, but his speed and physique helped him win the hearts of fans.

Real Madrid’s win in the last Champions League will only improve his chances.

Virgil van Dijk

The first Premier League player on this list, Van Dijk is considered one of the best defenders in the world.

Not only has he performed superbly throughout the World Cup, but his speed and physique are a huge asset for Liverpool.

Players will want to make sure he makes it onto their teams.

Theo Hernández

Not only was Hernandez part of France’s squad for the World Cup, but he also helped Milan to an unexpected Serie A victory.

Speed, build, dribbling and good shooting, Hernandez is the complete package.

He soon became a fan favorite and we think he’s popular enough to earn a spot on TOTY.

Lukas Modric

Another Real Madrid player, Modrić, helped in both Champions League and La Liga victories.

He also helped Croatia to their third place finish during the World Cup.

He’s an overall solid midfielder and one of the best currently playing.

Casemiro

No points to guess who Casemiro played for when we tell you he won the Champions League last year.

He is now moving to Manchester United where the team is doing better than expected given the circumstances.

Despite having some difficulties initially, he has shown that he has the talent to succeed.

Kevin De Bruyne

De Bruyne plays a crucial role at Manchester City, providing 17 assists and scoring 18 goals in the last two seasons.

He is often considered the best midfielder in the world and it seems only natural that he would appear in TOTY.

He may not be that popular with fans, but his achievement is undeniable.

Lionel Messi

Coming to the TOTY forwards, the three we’ve picked probably won’t surprise anyone.

Messi not only captained Argentina to World Cup victory, but also hosts an unrivaled attacking trio at PSG.

Some consider him one of the greatest players of all time and he will definitely make the team.

Erling Haland

We may have chosen Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema at this point, but Haaland’s spectacular season may help him win this one.

Since joining this season, he has had a devastating impact on the Premier League with his impressive goal record.

This helped him win the hearts of fans and probably a spot on TOTY.

Kylian Mbappe

The FIFA 23 cover star is another player we’re sure will make it into TOTY.

He scored a terrific hat-trick in the World Cup final that helped him win the Golden Boot from teammate Messi.

There was a reason he was chosen as a FIFA Ambassador, he is a spectacular player and a fan favourite.
