New figures have revealed travelers flying out of Gatwick Airport are more likely flights cancelled over any other major UK airport.
According to the new study, more than three percent of the planned trips did not take place.
That’s 10 times worse than Stanstead, where just 0.3 per cent of trips have been cancelled, making it one of the UK’s best performing hubs.
Whereas Gatwicksaw June as the airport’s worst month with a 14 flights cancelled according to Sky News by air travel intelligence company OAG, which uses information from airlines, government and other sources.
In the summer until September 11, no more than 100,000 passengers per day are allowed.
Gatwick has since said it regrets any cancellations and disruptions that have affected passengers.
He explained that they would carefully increase their capacity there in the coming months and offer “a better standard of service”.
