Final Fantasy XIV clarifies Empyreum Housing Lottery guidelines following community feedback

After sharing the procedure for housing lotteries, let’s move on Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix is now clarifying certain rules after receiving questions from the community.

There is already great anticipation of residential lot sales when the Empyrean residential area opens with the arrival of 6.1. One of the questions answered was whether you can apply for land both as a private person and as a representative of a free company. You can only apply for one plot, so you must choose what best suits your needs.

Other questions came up about the 30-day membership requirement for a free company, which must have at least 4 members. When you add members to meet the required number, only those who have been members for at least 30 days can bid on a property. This also applies to Free Company Masters. If several members participate in the free company lottery and win the opportunity to purchase different properties, you must decide on one of the properties and then complete the purchase. Since you can only select one lot, the other members cannot claim, so they keep 50% of their bids as a cancellation fee.

When multiple free corporate members apply to win a single piece of land and someone wins, only the member with the winning number can claim and buy as all lottery numbers are unique. In this case, remaining members will be considered not won and will be refunded 100% of their bids.

For home world transfers, lottery entries are valid within the world in which they were submitted. So if you decide to transfer during the nine-day lottery period, you’ll have to wait until the next lottery to enter your new server.
