FinTrU to create 300 jobs in Donegal

FinTrU, a regulatory solutions company, has announced plans to establish a European delivery hub in Letterkenny which will create 300 jobs in the city of Donegal over the next five years.

The new roles will be in compliance, legal and operations, with FinTrU also launching a graduate recruitment program to fill entry-level positions.

“FinTrU has a great relationship with the North West region having established our Derry, London office in October 2018 which currently employs over 300 people,” said Founder and CEO Darragh McCarthy.

He added that the company already employs several people from Letterkenny as well as the wider county.

“The highly qualified and ambitious talent here in Donegal was a key motivating factor in FinTrU’s choice of Letterkenny as its next EU location,” he said.

Founded in 2013, FinTrU is headquartered in Belfast. The company provides regulatory solutions to global investment banks.

The company currently employs more than 1,000 people worldwide and currently has offices in Belfast, Derry, Dublin, London, Maastricht and New York.

The company’s investment was supported by the IDA.

“This investment, which creates 300 jobs in this region, is of enormous importance. It represents FinTrU’s confidence in the North West and will provide a significant boost to the local economy,” said IDA Managing Director Martin Shanahan. FinTrU to create 300 jobs in Donegal
