Crews took part in a fire at a historic train station last night.
The asphalt machine incident at Kingscote railway station happened last night.
Firefighters from Turners Hill Fire Station were on standby to provide cover for Haywards Heath Fire Station.
A spokesman for Turners Hill station said: “It has been a busy day for our crews.
“We attended a number of calls and concluded an incident at Kingscote railway station where an asphalt machine was well on fire.”
The crews wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire and secure the scene of the accident.
The firefighters working next to East Grinstead Fire Station to put out the fire.
