Firefighters take part after two motorbikes were set on fire in Hove

FIRE crews attended after two motorcycles were intentionally set on fire.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue were called to New Church Road, Hove, around 6am yesterday morning.

Two motorcycles were found to have been set on fire.

A passer-by told The Argus that the fire was about waist-deep near the entrance of St Leonard’s Church.

Two crews from Hove and Brighton used a hose reel jet to put out the fire.

A spokesman for the ESFR said: “The cause of the fire was believed to be premeditated.

“We left the scene at 6:27 a.m.”
