Firefighters were called to tackle the blazes in Littlehampton and Seaford

FIREFIGHTERS have been called to tackle two grass fires that broke out last night.

Smoke could be seen from the fire near Littlehampton Marina last night (July 28) as firefighters were cleaning up the incident.

Meanwhile, fire engines and other vehicles were spotted in Seaford trying to fight another blaze, with firefighters reeling out hoses to put out the blaze.

Firefighters on both sides of the county have warned that despite the extreme temperatures of the ending heatwave, the grasslands still remain very dry and the risk of serious wildfires remains.
