POLESTAR, the Swedish Volvo-derived electric performance brand, has arrived in Ireland with the stunning Polestar 2 Fastback.
Prices for the four-door premium sedan start at 54,500 euros with three drive configurations with a mix of performance and range. A single engine with standard range generates the equivalent of 231 hp from a 69 kWh battery and a WLTP range of up to 474 km.
Then there’s the Long Range Single Motor, which increases the battery to 78 kWh and increases the range to up to 542 km.
At the top is the Long Range Dual Motor variant, which adds all-wheel drive through the use of two electric motors and the same 78kWh battery, for a face-peeling 408hp and 660 Nm of torque.
All this performance affects the range, which is reduced to 482 km.
Those looking for even more grunt can take advantage of a booster pack that boosts power to 470 hp through a clever software package.
Fit and finish inside the Polestar 2 is top-notch and you can really feel the premium Volvo-inspired materials and technology.
Bucking the trend of dealer sales, Polestar cars can only go bought online about what It says it’s “a simplified 100-piece digital process, complemented by physical retail locations known around the world as Polestar Spaces and Polestar Destinations.”
The first Polestar Destination will open later this year in Dublin.
