First-time Democrat angers Republicans over Biden bribery allegations

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) slammed Republicans for their allegations that President Joe Biden had ties to a bribery plot when she compared Republican lawmakers’ reactions to their reaction to the federal indictment of former President Donald Trump.
“It’s amazing that they can review a document and decide that we have the most corrupt president ever,” said Crockett, who has made a series of critical remarks against Republican lawmakers in recent weeks.
She further examined how the GOP’s claims about Biden conflicted with Republican responses to “actual charges” with “heaps of documents.”
“We received indictments from grand juries in both New York and Florida. Not necessarily the President as they were trying to portray, not necessarily our AG, not necessarily the special prosecutor, but of citizens sitting down and going through not one document but documents, mountains of documents,” Crockett said.
“And found that there was enough to go ahead and decide whether or not Trump broke the law.” And they say there’s nothing to see here,” she said.
Crockett later pointed out that the FBI allegedly obtained the document when the agency was part of Trump’s Justice Department.
“So yeah, my supervisor can’t find the witnesses,” Crockett said, referencing Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.)’s comments on the committee’s investigation into the Biden family.
“But we all know that Jack Smith has found all the witnesses he needs to ensure he can proceed with the prosecution of the former president,” Crockett said.
