Five engines that will make you the most money after record-breaking year for scrap car prices in Ireland

SCRAP car prices rose to record levels last year, according to the latest statistics.
Figures released by automotive recycling group CarTakeBack show the average value has returned to previous years.
And scrap car experts are expecting this value to continue to rise into 2022.
Motorists say the price of cars increased dramatically in November and December last year, which saw the value of scrap cars rise to an all-time high, more than 320 euros.
The average scrap car value in 2020 is €100, nearly doubling last year with an average price of €190.
Car connoisseurs say there are several factors driving the price increase.
CarTakeBack Chief Marketing Officer Rebecca Currier said: “While 2021 has been another uncertain year due to Covid-19, we are delighted to see scrap prices not only rising but reaching record-breaking levels.
“Many factors can contribute to scrap prices, but the marked increase in the value of used cars in general certainly has a significant impact.
