A number of little-known features and tools make it much easier to browse content and find your next favorite show.

The Sun has rounded up five of the best to make navigating Netflix’s massive library a little easier.

Browse all Netflix Originals

Over the years, Netflix has built up an impressive collection of original content for viewers to enjoy.

The list includes popular shows The Crown, Bridgerton and Stranger Things, as well as movies like Don’t Look Up.

To browse all of the US streaming giant’s originals, just type “Netflix” into the search bar.

Find UHD content (4K and HDR).

Owning a TV capable of playing Ultra HD (UHD) content is all well and good, but it’s not always easy to find things with this resolution.

Luckily, on Netflix, you can specifically search UHD content by typing “4K” or “HDR” in the search bar.

The platform offers you a complete list of TV shows and movies available in 4K resolution and HDR respectively.

Mystery button

The Play Something button allows Netflix to choose what to display for you.

It’s designed to save you the time-wasting agony of searching for something yourself.

Press the button and the platform will display a series or movie it thinks you’ll like based on what you’ve seen before.

After launching the app, you will find the “Play Something” button under your profile name.

Browse by genre, phrase, city and more

You already know that you can search for things to watch on Netflix by searching the name of a show or your favorite actor.

But did you know that the platform’s algorithms can suggest shows and movies based on other, more obscure keywords?

For example, you can search for terms like “Olympic Games” or public figures like “Winston Churchill” to display content related to that topic or person.

You can also narrow your search to include specific cities or even phrases like “strong black lead” or “strong female lead.”

To view other genres, click the row names on the home page in your browser.

This brings up a full gallery of TV shows and movies within that genre.
