With Cost of living Increasingly, penny-pinching pros have put together some of the best money-saving tricks from TikTok.
Users of the video social networking platform offer a lot of good tips – though also a lot of terrible advice and scams as well.
Sorting to find out is a big deal, but the experts save money at NetVoucherCodes.co.uk have done that.
The team spent some time going through TikTok’s money saver hashtags and gathered what they consider to be the best tips people might not have considered before.
Fun tips include renting out people’s driveways for parking and removing pre-saved card details from online shopping sites.
A spokesperson for NetVoucherCodes.co.uk said: “TikTok is great for things like this. You have every day people from all different backgrounds and households sharing what they do to save them money.
“This year will be especially difficult with the cost of living rising and it is important that people realize that there are small but effective ways to save small amounts of money over a period of time to create a great difference”.
Delete pre-saved card details
It’s not uncommon to be scrolling through your phone in the evening and stumble across something you think you need to buy.
Removing your pre-saved card details from places like clothing websites will make you rethink ordering because you’ll have to get up and find your card.
Consider grocery shopping online
Anyway, a lot of people do this because not everyone has time to go out supermarket.
Buy food going online will make you more likely to hit your budget, as you can see your cart totals as you go.
That means you’re less likely to order unnecessary items if you’re going to go over your budget.
Buy fruit in bulk instead of packages
Some TikTok users have pointed out that buying fruit in bulk is much cheaper than buying a pack.
For example, a pack of five bananas from a leading UK supermarket costs 69p while individual bananas are 13p each.
Put your coin in the jar
If you still use notes when you shop, you can quickly get a small change that you won’t be able to use again.
Instead of leaving this stuff lying around in your car or at the bottom of your wallet or purse, put it all in a jar.
It builds up quickly and you can take it to the bank and exchange it for notes.
However, do not bring a bag full of change to the bank, it will not be received very well. Instead, go get a bag and sort the change yourself at home first, then take it all to the bank.
Explore cheaper parking options
If you’re someone who puts in a lot of work, this can be really beneficial.
There are online services like JustPark that allow you to enter details about your commute and will show you a list of options for where you can park.
These options are much cheaper than parking in large parking lots.
You can even rent out your driveway to someone else if you’re looking to make some extra money.
