Brits hoping for a hit Tenerife’s best beaches Lucky for you this summer, as the holiday hotspot has seen one of the biggest drop in flight prices of 2022.

In fact, cheap flights to Tenerife are up to 74% cheaper compared to last year, with fares starting at £34 each way, according to a new study by travel search engine KAYAK.

Flights to Santa Cruz de Tenerife in particular have seen a drop in airfares, making it an ideal time to book a short break to Tenerife’s largest Canary Islands.

The rules apply to everyone over the age of 12, which was originally a problem for families with unvaccinated teenagers. However, Spain has since updated its rules to allow unvaccinated teenagers aged 12 to 17 to visit, provided they have a negative PCR test result and are traveling with vaccinated adults.

Anyone traveling to Spain, regardless of vaccination status, must also complete a pre-registration form and receive a QR code to show at border control.

Tenerife isn’t the only destination that has seen a big drop in prices compared to last year. Malaga has also proven to be more budget-friendly, with airfares down 73% – and according to KAYAK, fares start at £15 each way to the Spanish city.
