Flooding causes train disruption between Uckfield and Crowborough

Trains cannot run due to flooding on the route.

Southern Rail made the announcement around 11.20am this morning after heavy rain.

Trains cannot operate between Crowborough and Uckfield.

Rail replacement buses run between the stations.

A Southern Rail spokesman said: “Due to heavy rainfall on the railway, trains are unable to run between Crowborough and Uckfield.

“Network Rail is on the ground taking care of this flood. We are now awaiting confirmation that it is safe to navigate this section again.

“The rail replacement buses will remain in place to ensure onward connections this afternoon.”
