Floods in Lewes cause disruption to trains
Heavy rain and flooding disrupt trains.
Flooding on the railway between Lewes and Haywards Heath has blocked the route.
Trains running between these stations can be canceled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
This affects Southern trains running between Eastbourne/Ore and London Victoria.
Network Rail says trains are currently unable to run from Lewes towards Haywards Heath.
Disruptions are expected until 5:30 p.m.
Trains running from Eastbourne to London Victoria are diverted from Lewes and enter London via Brighton.
Northbound services will miss Cooksbridge and Plumpton while Network Rail’s response teams deal with the problem.
