Football Manager 2023 is coming to PlayStation 5 next month

Football Manager 2023 Console is now releasing on February 1st for PlayStation 5.
The first PS5 edition of the game was delayed in November due to “unforeseen circumstances that arose during the submission and approval process”.
PlayStation Plus subscribers get a 20 percent discount on the game through February 14th, a discount to match the pre-order bonus ahead of its originally intended release.
“We are excited for today’s update that we can finally get the FM23 console into the hands of PS5 players. Since the initial delay, the Sports Interactive team and our colleagues at Sega have worked tirelessly with Sony to overcome these issues and we’re excited to now have a release candidate ready to launch next week,” said Miles Jacobson , Studio Director at Sports Interactive.
“While it’s unusual for us to release a game during a major football transfer window, our priority from the moment our original launch was delayed has been to get the game into the hands of PS5 players as quickly as possible. Once all global transfer windows have closed, we will provide a data update for the PS5 edition in line with the updates for all our other platforms.”
The PS5 release delay followed an earlier controversy that resulted in Football Manager not appearing on PlayStation for two years due to a lack of development kits.
Then his return was announced in September, followed by the subsequent delay.
In our Football Manager 2023 PC review, we called it “the best simulation of its kind,” but the “lack of significant improvements shows that an annual release schedule is taking its toll.”
