OLYMPIC skier Chemmy Alcott leads the celebrity tribute to Dancing On Ice star Sean Rice.
The professional skater tragically passed away on January 14 at just 49 years old.
Mommy was paired with Sean in 2012 for the second and final season of the ITV figure skating show.
She paid tribute to Sean on Twitter, writing: “Just heard the tragic news that Sean Rice, my teammate from DOI, has passed away.
“The world will remember your wonderful energy and healing hands. All my love for J and S.”
TV presenter Chloe Maddeley also talked about a former co-star she met while starring in the 2011 TV series.
“My heart goes out to the world of skating and the DOI family for the loss of Sean Rice. He was a strong, honest, kind, and incredibly funny man who did things on the rink. the tapes made my mouth gap,” she wrote together a video of them on tape together.
“Sean and Jodeyne were the only couple I went to see rehearsal on the tour, because every lift was something spectacular. My thoughts are with Sean’s wife Jodeyne and Signey’s daughter Signey. surname.”
Another Dancing On Ice star Frankie Poultney also had good things to say about Sean and shared a link to the GoFundMe page to raise money for his family.
“Pro skaters are heartbroken today, we have lost someone truly bigger than our lives – a historic figure skater, a 20-year-old husband, father and friend. mine,” she wrote.
“Sean Rice, 20/07/72 – 14/01/22 gone too soon but we will Love You For A Thousand Years – all our thoughts are with Signey & Jodeyne.”
Professional skater Matt Evers also shared the tribute to Sean, writing: “One of the best…thanks Sean for your gift. This process by The Professionals on Ice is real. great. It’s been a pleasure to know and work with you.”
ONE GoFundMe was released on Saturday following news of Sean’s death.
Organizer Mary White wrote: “The world has lost a wonderful man – a trainer, son, friend, husband and poppa bear. It is with great sadness that Sean Rice is over. life.
“Sean is a passionate person, greater than life, who will stop and give back to anyone who needs him. In the same spirit, we are reaching out to everyone to pour out prayers and prayers and support. love for Jodeyne and Signey during this very difficult time.
“A lot of people have reached out to ask how they can help and so we’ve set up this Go Fund account to support Jodeyne and Signey at this time. Take care of them the same way Sean did. always take care of others.”
During Sean’s first year on the show, he joined Angela Rippon In 2011.
Sean’s cause of death was not revealed and he left behind his wife, Jodeyne Higgins, and their eight-year-old daughter Signey.
