Former Love Island star Amy Day has agreed to co-star Rachel Finni and called on Maya Jama to be host of the ITV2 series

Former Love Island star Amy Day has called for a replacement for host Laura Whitmore.
Laura has hosted Love Island since January 2020 – when the first and only winter version of the show aired – taking the reins from the late Caroline Flack, who took her own life at the age of 40. month after that one month.
However, the former contestants believe that Maya Jama and AJ Odudu would be better suited for the role.
Speaking in a recent podcast, Rachel Finni said: “I’m really sorry that Laura Whitmore is hosting this show, I think we’re going to get a beautiful Maya Jama or AJ Odudu.
“The benefits you get by marrying the narrator, because she’s not a great presenter.”
And it looks like co-star Amy agrees with Rachel and says the reunion is ‘a bit deadly’.
Talk to daily star, She said: “I’m numb to it, I thought it would be great if a presenter dropped herself into it and the whole interview Rachel did got a lot of press and yes all of them. I was a bit surprised.
“The reunion was a bit stuck and boring. It wasn’t necessarily about Laura’s presentation skills, it was about the topics and topics she covered.
“We wanted to spice things up and let her have fun stuff.”
She went on to say that Maya Jama would be ‘too sick’ as a host.
Laura caught Rachel’s comments and hit back at the star for calling her a ‘bad host’.
On her Instagram Stories in April, she said: “I’m not going to put too much energy into it because there’s always something like this and you just brush it off but I think we need to be careful when discussing it. discussion of women and their work.
“I’ve been in telecommunications for 14 years. I won a contest to be the face of MTV and have continued to work from job to job.

“I’ve done incredible things around the world, I’ve worked with the best teams, but I’ve never gotten a job because of a guy I’ve dated.”
She continued: “And it’s horrible when you see if it’s from other women because for years women have been talking about who they’re going to date.
“They’re just defined by who they’re going to hang out with, despite all the work and building up that led to it and they’re their own individual, with their own experiences.”
She added: “It’s a shame because I think we’ll never really have the full power and empowerment as a sex if we continue to do so.”
