Former soccer player and presenter John Fashanu revealed he was most worried about forgetting his routine during the Dancing On Ice premiere.
The 60-year-old, who was part of the Wimbledon team that won the FA Cup final against Liverpool in 1988, was among the second contestants to hit the ice on Sunday night after six athletes slipped. Famous tapes performed last weekend.

“Sometimes I go there and I’m completely empty. I thought ‘Am I playing in the Wembley FA Cup final ’88?’
“I just felt empty, couldn’t remember what I was going to do. And she will come and I can’t remember whether to turn her this way or lift her this way. And I thought ‘oh my god’.
He added that he’s been “lucky” because he feels his partner Schauman is “wonderful”, saying: “She has the patience of someone I’ve never met before.
“Even my wife doesn’t have that patience.”
The former player also admitted that an injury at his age would be “very difficult” to return to.
“I’m 60 now, so we’re starting a little bit. But I have to admit, I’m enjoying it,” he said.

“I don’t know if it’s because I’m an athlete and have been an athlete for many, many years so maybe it’s not too hard for me.
“But I’m enjoying it, it’s a dream come true.”
Contestant Mollie Gallagher, 25, who is known for her role as Nina Lucas in Coronation Street, agreed she also enjoyed the experience, which included trying on a new look.

Her character in the ITV drama is known for her gothic style but the actress said she likes to be glamorous when she competes in figure skating.
She said: “It’s great because I love fashion anyway. And obviously, I love Nina’s fashion but it’s nice to have a few different colors and things.
“And during that time, we’ll all be in different positions and play characters.”
