Former Spandau Ross Ballet Singer William Wild Faces Rape And Sexual Assault Allegations

Former Spandau Ballet singer Ross William Wild will appear in court to face charges of raping and sexually assaulting sleeping women

Ross William Wild appeared in court on Thursday to face charges of rape and sexual assault.

The 34-year-old former Spandau Ballet singer allegedly filmed himself molesting six different women while they were sleeping.

Wild is also charged with rape, extortion and disclosing private sexual photos of the seventh woman.

Scottish singer who appeared under his real name, Ross Davidson, when appearing at magistrate Carlisle’s court.

He was arrested in Aberdeen, at his parents’ home, after police obtained CPS clearance for 17 offenses that allegedly took place between 2013 and 2018.

Wild appeared in the dock with two security guards and was in tears when his lawyer, Chris Toms, told the court he was a “professional musical performer”.

The singer has made no formal defense and Mr Toms said of the rape allegation: “It has been categorically denied. He wants his day in court.”

Wild has been taken into custody and will now appear at Wood Green crown court in London on July 22.

The former Spandau Ballet star was investigated by The Met’s Special Crimes Command in 2019.

They seized a mobile phone with pictures of women being sexually harassed while they were sleeping.

Wild’s home in Finchley, North London, is where four of the alleged sexual assaults took place, between October 2013 and December 2017.

Another sexual assault is believed to have occurred in a hotel in Shrewsbury in June 2017.

It is understood that police have yet to identify some of the women.

Wild joined the Spandau Ballet in May 2018, the same month that the last alleged incident occurred while Wild was attending the Cannes film festival.

Wild has been charged with six counts of sexual assault and six counts of voyeurism in connection with these alleged counts.

He has also been accused of rape from August 1 to October 1, 2013 and then blackmailing the same complainant in November 2017.

Wild is also accused of damaging her property and in October 2017, revealing a private sexual photograph with the intention of causing her distress.

He also faces a final charge of possession of an extreme pornographic image featuring non-consensual sex acts.

Wild joined the Spandau Ballet in 2018 to replace lead singer Tony Hadley.

He starred alongside Martin Kemp, the band’s bassist, in the West End musical Million Dollar Quartet, in which he played Elvis Presley.

Two years later, Wild was fired while streaming ITV’s This Morning, which left him so devastated that he claimed he had tried to take his own life while in Cannes.
