Fortnite x Coachella

The collaboration comes just days after KIRKBI, the parent company of Sony and LEGO, invested $2 billion in Epic Games’ Metaverse and the partnership with Coachella certainly fuels the idea of bringing “the real world” into a shared online -room to bring.

You can now drive around and listen to music while chatting with friends… in Fortnite. And while Epic Games didn’t say actual Coachella shows would be coming to the game, it has hosted concerts featuring superstars like Ariana Grande and Travis Scott in the past.

Articles arriving as a result of the Coachella partnership will be split into two parts, with the first wave of articles arriving at 5pm PT / 8pm ET / 1am BST. It includes the Wilder and Lyric outfits (with alternate equalizer skins that react to the music) and matching accessories.

Wilder comes with the Finfin Back Bling (a neon shark), while a similar scope featuring the Neon Biter Pickaxe and Finfin Flair Wrap is also available. Lyric comes with the Swaguaro Back Bling (a rainbow cactus), while the Festival Shredder Pickaxe (a flaming guitar) is sold separately.

The second wave arrives at the same time on April 21st and includes the Alto outfit, which comes with Sonic Vibes Back Bling (not the hedgehog but a pair of smiley face headphones) and a palm-tree looking Softest Electropalm Pickaxe.

Also in wave two is Poet, who comes with the Cosmonautic Helmet Back Bling. The Cactical Crusher Pickaxe and Mainstage Wrap are also available.
