Four arrested following a shop burglary in Woodingdean, Brighton

FOUR men have been arrested after a shop was broken into and broken into in the middle of the night.

Brighton Police made the arrests after responding to the burglary that was underway in Woodingdean this morning.

Officers were called to the Warren Road shop just after midnight, with several people escaping in a white truck.

The vehicle was near Whitehawk and a search of the area found two men hiding in some bushes.

Another man was seen running across a field after officers deployed a drone. He was located and arrested.

Further investigation identified a fourth man, with an address in Brighton, who was also taken into custody.

The four men, aged between 21 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and are currently in custody. Four arrested following a shop burglary in Woodingdean, Brighton
