Gardaí arrested four people and seized drugs worth almost €300,000 in raids in Limerick and Dublin on Monday.
Ardaí has charged three men after drugs were seized in multiple searches in Dublin.
As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí searched a number of residences in the Finglas area earlier this morning. The operation was aimed at selling and supplying drugs and was directed by Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit at Finglas Garda railway station.
“Drugs valued at over €83,800 were seized during the search, including suspected cocaine, heroin, crack, alprazolam tablets, cannabis and heroin. All drugs seized are now being analyzed by Forensic Science Ireland,” said a garda spokesman.
“Gardaí also seized €10,900 worth of cash and a lot of ammunition.”
All three have since been charged. The two men, in their forties, are due to appear in Blanchardstown District Court tomorrow morning.
The teenager has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear in Blanchardstown District Court at a later date.
Separately, Gardaí seized over €210,000 worth of suspected cocaine and a large amount of cash following a search operation at a Limerick house this afternoon, also as part of Operation Tara.
Gardaí, attached to the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit at Henry Street Garda Station, conducted a search of a house in St Mary’s Park, Limerick.
They seized 3.1kg of suspected cocaine with a street value of over €210,000 and a large amount of cash.
A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene and taken to Henry Street Garda Station where he was jailed under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
