Here are four features we’ll hopefully see in 2023 that have already been leaked.

Picture-in-picture video calls

Picture-in-picture video calling is a very useful trick for multitasking.

This means you can leave WhatsApp while chatting with a friend while doing other things on your device.

It’s already being tested by beta testers, but it’s expected to roll out to everyone sometime in early 2023.

Language status update

Many people use the status update element on WhatsApp.

But next year there could be a welcome addition in the form of language updates.

Beta testers tried various early builds on how to keep bugs and fix them after they were sent.

We hope to finally see this highly coveted feature land in 2023.

Search messages by date

Search has improved on WhatsApp over the past few years, but it can still be difficult to sift through tons of conversations.

Thankfully, the developers seem to be working on another way to narrow down the results.

Leaks indicate that they are developing a tool to set a date range.

As with all early leaks, WhatsApp may decide not to release it at all, so we’ll have to wait and see if any of that comes true.

How to get WhatsApp beta
