Four boys who tragically lost their parents within months seek help buying their own home.
Padraig and Elaine Clifford, of Kerry, died within months after both battling cancer, leaving four sons: Patrick, 21, Jack, 14, Andrew, eight, and Conor, five.
In January, Padraig, 46, died after battling cancer – just five months after his wife Elaine tragically died of the same disease – and just a day before their 41st birthday. Irish mirror reported.
The boys have launched a GoFundMe campaign to buy their rented home in Milltown to “secure their future”.

The fundraiser has already raised almost £30,000 of its target of £70,000.
The organizers write: “Patrick 21, Jack 14, Andrew 8 and Conor 5 lost both of their parents to cancer within five months.
“This heartbreaking story touched many people far and wide, leaving the Milltown community incredulous that this could happen to one family in such a short amount of time.
“In May 2021, the boys’ mother Elaine was diagnosed with stage four cancer. After a short time and a great struggle, she lost her battle with cancer on August 28, 2021, leaving her heartbroken husband Padraig and their beloved boys.
“Padraig found it very difficult to process the loss of his soul mates, amazing wife and mother to their four beautiful boys.
“Padraig has tried to get on with life as best he can with the great help of family and friends who have gathered around him.
“When Padraig began to feel unwell in December 2021, little did he know that he too had cancer.
“He was admitted to University Hospital Kerry on January 17, 2022 and after testing was diagnosed with aggressive cancer.
“Padraig has fought hard to keep his promise to beautiful Mrs Elaine to look after her boys but sadly he lost his battle with cancer eight days later on Tuesday 25th January 2022 surrounded by his loving family and friends.”

They added: “The boys are now living in the family’s rented house in Milltown; this fundraiser is set up to raise enough money for the Clifford boys to buy their family home and secure their future.
“Any donation to help the Clifford boys achieve their goal of owning their own home would be greatly appreciated.
“The Clifford family are extremely grateful for the kindness and generosity they have received during this very difficult time.”
