FOUR fire engines took part in a fire that broke out in a city center pub.
Crews were called to the Heart and Hand pub in North Road, Brighton, around 9.30pm last night.
A fire broke out in the basement of the pub.
A spokeswoman for the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from four fire engines were called at 9.32pm and are using breathing apparatus to tackle a fire in the basement of the Heart and Hand pub, North Road, Brighton.
“Please avoid the area and residents should keep doors and windows closed.”
