Four in a Bed viewers stoned ‘disgrace’ and ‘insult’ to the overall winners

Four in a Bed viewers stoned it as ‘shameful’ and ‘insulting’ the overall winners, who paid less to the owners of the Yorkshire bed-and-breakfast, who were displeased. pleased with their feedback about their guesthouse

Four in one bed Viewers were left reeling after the overall winners made an ‘offensive’ comment when paying for their stay.
Channel 4’s popular show involves four bed and breakfast owners who take turns staying together – and paying what they think is fair for their stay. The winner is the establishment that is named the most value for money.
But viewers of this week’s show saw the spark fly when the owners of Wales-based The Griffin Inn saw Sian and Mary offer just £30 of the £60 cost of the room to Karl and Steph – owners owned by The Cedarville Guest House.
The pair’s reasons for making the offer so closely were that they believed The Cedarville Guest House in Yorkshire had not been finished to an ”acceptable standard” and that the room needed another coat of paint.
As if that weren’t enough, they singled out Steph for being “too dramatic” in an incident where she was confronted with a tarantula.
Steph countered the harsh response, saying: “I’m really surprised. I’d rather you didn’t pay me at all.”
Steph and Karl weren’t the only ones unhappy with how the situation turned out, with many viewers taking to Twitter to vent their disappointment that Sian and Mary ended up being the overall winners.
One said: “Wow, that’s too low a pay. Nobody can get a room for £30 anywhere.”
“£30 is a huge insult,” a second tweeted.
A third agreed: ’30 pounds playing a coward’.
Another commented: “Sadly this is going to be a Griffin win. Paying low for others but getting paid in full by decent players for their time in your gaff.”
“Well if they win (heaven forbid), I’m just glad to hear that they’ve done nothing to their reputation by appearing on this show,” one-fifth repeated.
But despite the reaction of viewers and Steph, Sian and Mary were jointly crowned The Griffin Inn along with Helen and Sally owners of The Kedleston Country House, who showed off their Derbyshire Georgia home.
Meanwhile Sophia Biggs and Dani Drew also missed out on the winning title after the self-catering suite The Jewelery Suites in Birmingham failed to impress guests.
The Channel 4 program airs on Fridays and can be viewed again on All4.com
