Four teenagers being treated in hospital after a serious road accident in Co Kildare

Four teenagers have been hospitalized after a serious road accident in Co Kildare.

The collision happened on Rathangan Road in Monasterevin on Friday evening.

Gardaí and emergency services were at the scene of the collision with a single car around 10 p.m. last night.

A man and two women in their late teens were taken to Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise for treatment of their injuries.

Another teenage man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are believed to be serious.

The road was closed to allow for a technical investigation of the crime scene by Forensic Collision Investigators. Since then it has reopened.

Gardaí appeals to all witnesses to this collision to come forward. They’re particularly appealing to those who had camera footage (including dashcams) of the area to share with them at the time.
