France is reopening to unvaccinated Britons in time for the Easter holidays

FRANCE has finally reopened to unvaccinated Brits, giving a big boost to people heading abroad for the Easter holidays.

As of this morning, the popular holiday destination has put the UK on its green list, removing the requirement for unvaccinated travelers to have a valid reason to enter the country.

Unvaccinated Britons must have a negative PCR test done within 72 hours of travel or a negative antigen test done within 48 hours of travel.

French Consulate General Guillaume Bazard tweeted: “On 03.31. the United Kingdom is placed on the green list.

“Disappearance of compelling reasons for unvaccinated travelers to present a negative test (72-hour PCR or 48-hour TAG).”

In addition, vaccinated arrivals will no longer have to fill out an affidavit confirming they do not have any symptoms of Covid.

Mr Bazard tweeted: “For vaccinated travelers, omission of honor obligation (no compelling reasons, no test).”

Children under the age of 12 are exempt from all Covid travel restrictions.

earlier this month, France has abandoned its strict Covid vaccination card Rules that Brits previously needed to enter restaurants, bars and cinemas.

The country has also scrapped the mandatory use of face masks — except on public transport and care homes.

France is one of several European destinations that have set one Expiry date on vaccination certificates.

If travelers received their second dose more than nine months ago, they are considered unvaccinated unless they have had a booster dose.

Other European countries are relaxing Covid rules ahead of the Easter holidays.

Denmark has dropped all of its Covid rules for Brits – regardless of their vaccination status.

The rule change makes Denmark the first EU country to lift all pandemic-related restrictions, following in the UK’s footsteps.

Spain has Dropped Covid testing and quarantine rules for anyone who has mild symptoms of the virus or is asymptomatic.

the Canary Islands – including Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria – working without Covid restrictions for the first time since the pandemic began.

and Gibraltar has scrapped all Covid testing rules along with the requirement for arrivals to fill out a passenger locator form.
