IPHONE batteries last quite a long time these days, but something you do can end up wiping them out a lot quicker.

The conditions under which you leave your phone and the activities you engage in can all have an impact.

If you want your iPhone battery to last a little longer, try a few of these.

Avoid cold temperatures

Both cold and heat can have negative effects on your iPhone.

High temperatures can cause the iPhone to overheat and need a little rest.

However, extreme cold can cause the battery to drain much faster.

As Apple itself says: “Using an iOS or iPadOS device outside of its operating range in very cold conditions may temporarily decrease battery life and cause your device to turn off.

“Battery life returns to normal when you expose your device to higher ambient temperatures.

“Your iOS or iPadOS device may not charge or may stop charging if it gets too cold.”

Screen light is one of the biggest battery suckers.

Of course, if you use your iPhone a lot, the battery will drain faster, and a large part of that is due to the display.

Turning the brightness down can help.

Make sure the screen turns off when you’re not using your phone to save big too.

Poor network coverage

Being in a place with poor network coverage can also affect the battery.

That’s because your phone is constantly looking for a better connection.

Try to stay on WiFi wherever possible — and if your network is really bad, even consider switching to a different provider.
