Funeral for Jack de Bromhead (13) after tragic death in racing accident on Wednesday

The funeral details of Jack de Bromhead, the 13-year-old driver who died in a crash at Rossbeigh Beach on Saturday, have been confirmed by his family.

Jack will rest at the family home in Knockeen, Waterford, from 3pm to 7pm on Tuesday before attending a requiem mass at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Church of the Nativity in Butlerstown on Wednesday at 12pm held, followed by a private cremation.

Henry and Heather de Bromhead described Jack as an “extraordinary, beautiful” son who “touched all of our lives in the best possible way”.

“A unique child who touched all of our lives in the best possible way – he will be a part of our lives forever.

“Always cherished, always loved, frozen in time with a beautiful young soul. He was an amazing son who told us every day that he loves us – an overflowing heart of loyalty, empathy, patience, courage, courage and how he made us laugh.

“Not only the perfect, fun, loving son, but also an incredibly loving brother to our beautiful daughters, his twin sister Mia and little sister Georgia. He always stood behind them and was extremely loyal and kind. Our hearts are truly broken,” the de Bromhead family said in a statement.

“He made so many friends wherever he went and they also felt his special, unique and loyal touch in their lives. We ask them to celebrate and love him as we know he would have wished.

“Jack has lived so many more years than thirteen – filling every moment of his days, always busy, always curious, reaching for life and new interests.

“Jack, you will always be with us, at home in the hearts of your family and friends. Always present, always treasured with so many memories of your packed, extraordinary life.
