Gardaí appeal for witnesses as male pedestrian (80s) dies in collision in Co Clare

A man in his 80s died in a traffic accident in Co Clare on Saturday night.

The male pedestrian died after being hit by a car on the R352 in Mountshannon, Co. Clare at around 7:45pm last night.

Gardaí are currently on the scene and the R352 is closed to allow for a technical investigation by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions will remain in place pending investigations.

Gardaí in Ennis are asking all witnesses to this collision to come forward.

All road users who have camera footage (including dashcam) of the R352 between 7:30pm and 8pm today are asked to make it available to the Gardaí investigation.
