Gardaí are investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy in the town of Carlow

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the death of a 13-year-old boy in the town of Carlow yesterday morning.

It is known that the boy fell from a height and was taken to the hospital, but later died from his injuries.

“Gardaí, ambulances and local emergency services responded to an incident at a housing development in Carlow Town, Co. Carlow, just after 11 a.m. Saturday, November 12,” a Garda spokesman said.

“A 13-year-old boy was taken from the scene by ambulance to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny, where he was later pronounced dead.”

Gardaí confirmed that the local coroner has been notified, a post-mortem has been ordered and an investigation is ongoing.
